Varghese M. Thomas serves as the Chief Communication Officer at Greaves Cotton Limited, where he oversees all internal and external communication and social media strategies for the company. In this role, he works closely with the leadership team to promote Greaves Cotton’s global brand, vision, and mission. Prior to joining Greaves Cotton, Varghese held the position of Sr. Vice President and Global Head of Communication for TVS Motor Group, a multinational company with a presence in over 80 countries. At TVS, he drove communication and social media strategies across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East (GCC), and Southeast Asia. Before his tenure at TVS, Varghese had a successful career as a Senior Communications Executive at renowned technology companies like Intel, Cisco, and BlackBerry.
With a career spanning over 26 years, Varghese has consistently delivered goal-oriented outcomes and added business value in high-growth environments. He has played a pivotal role in transforming the brand image and positioning of the organizations he has worked with. Varghese has spearheaded result-oriented communication programs aligned with the business objectives of the respective companies. Varghese holds a master’s degree in management and has received numerous accolades and awards throughout his career in public relations. He has been honoured with industry awards, including the prestigious FAMA ASIA-GCC corporate communication leader award. For four consecutive years, he received recognition as one of India’s Top 100 influential Communications professionals. Additionally, under his leadership, the TVS Corporate Communication team has been ranked among the top 5 best in-house communication teams in India for the past three years. Varghese has also made significant contributions to the PR industry’s visibility and the PR profession’s credibility through his writings and sharing of articles and opinions.
