Principal Accountabilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of auto engine projects within an organization. Your primary role will be to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, to successfully manage the entire lifecycle of auto engine projects.
Role Description (Duties & Responsibilities) :
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource Create project schedules, work breakdown structures, and critical path analysis.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure team members are aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, suppliers, and customers. Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely and accurate project reporting.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial constraints. Track project expenses and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budgetary limits.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project Monitor and assess project risks throughout the lifecycle and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Quality Assurance: Define and implement quality standards and procedures to ensure that auto engine projects meet the required specifications. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify and resolve any deviations from the set standards.
- Project Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders. Ensure documentation complies with organizational and industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize project delivery. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the project team.
Other Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related A master’s degree or project management certification is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 15+ years) in project management, preferably in the automotive industry or engine development.
- Strong technical knowledge of auto engine systems, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with product development lifecycle and project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
