Parag Satpute is the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Greaves Cotton Limited. With 3 decades of leadership experience in the mobility solutions and manufacturing sectors across global and domestic markets, Parag brings a strong track record of business transformation, strategic growth, and operational excellence.
In his current role, Parag is leading the next phase of growth at Greaves Cotton through GREAVES.NEXT, the Company’s new business strategy is designed to position Greaves as a future-ready engineering powerhouse. He is focused on strengthening and expanding the Company’s core businesses while accelerating growth both in India and global markets. His leadership is guided by Greaves Cotton’s overarching purpose of ‘Empowering Lives’, with a clear emphasis on reliable products, sustainable technology, & customer centricity innovation.
Before joining Greaves Cotton, Parag served as President of Bridgestone Mobility Solutions globally. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Bridgestone India, where he led a comprehensive business transformation that strengthened the company’s leadership in the Indian market. Before his tenure at Bridgestone India, he spent over two decades at Sandvik, a Swedish multinational engineering group, eventually rising to the position of Managing Director and Chairman of the Board for its Indian subsidiaries.
Parag holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University and an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School. He has also completed a Management Development Program at IIM Ahmedabad and a Company Management & Leadership Program at IMD, among others.
Known for his ability to spearhead complex transformations, optimising organisational structures, and driving innovation in product, service, and technology offerings, Parag specialises in creating synergy between diverse business segments, fostering high-performance cultures, and navigating volatile and complex environments to achieve sustained growth and profitability.
